PRODUCTION STAFF/EVENT INSTALLER

Position Overview:

The Production Staff/Event Installer is an entry-level position that assists in the production and installation of multiple weekly event orders from small receptions to large-scale weddings, galas and corporate events. You will work with Event Floral team members and management in the day-to-day preparation and execution of our events. Position amendable to seasonal needs; part time up to 30 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation, packing, loading, delivering, installing and picking-up all necessary inventory for weddings and any event orders including but not limited to fresh floral arrangements, props and décor items, linens, fabric draping, large-scale rental pieces, lighting, and other items.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from events and venues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure safe and professional deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Manage storage, organization, and use of all inventory, supplies, and equipment in the facility working carefully to minimize damage and breakages.
  • Work with team members to ensure events are executed according to order details.
  • Help with floral processing and preparation, facility cleaning and upkeep, and any aspect of production/installation where needed.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of inventory, common practices, installation and strike procedures including various venue policies and standards.
  • Interact and communicate courteously and effectively with venue/vendor contacts and clients as required during event delivery, installation, strike, and pick up.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work as a team player and follow management’s direction/input.
  • Ability to work independently to complete work orders and uphold procedures.
  • Capacity to troubleshoot, multi-task, and use logical thinking to problem-solve.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and means of transportation.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to carry 20-50 pounds throughout a work shift and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge and ability to use general hand tools, small equipment, ladders, carts, etc.
  • Availability to work weekend days, late-night weekend evenings, and some holidays, in addition to weekdays in the Rockford, Illinois area and occasionally as far as Chicago, Illinois.

LINEN INSTALLATION TEAM MEMBER

Position Overview:

The Linen Installation Team Member is an entry-level position that assists in the production and installation of multiple weekly event orders from small receptions to large-scale weddings, galas and corporate events. You will work with Event Floral team members and management in the day-to-day preparation and execution of our events. Position amendable to seasonal needs; part time up to 25 hours a week.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation, packing, loading, delivering, installing and picking-up all necessary inventory for any linen and/or draping event order.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from events and venues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure safe and professional deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Manage storage, organization, and use of all inventory, supplies, and equipment working carefully to minimize damage and breakages.
  • Help with linen processing and preparation including but not limited to sorting and inventorying new and used linens, ironing, steaming, and napkin folding.
  • Install backdrops, room draping, and ceiling treatments using pipe and drape systems, draping techniques, and suspension mechanics.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of linen and drape inventory, styles and sizes utilized, installation and strike procedures including various venue policies and standards.
  • Interact and communicate courteously and effectively with venue/vendor contacts and clients as required during event delivery, installation, strike, and pick up.
  • Operate iron and steamers for preparation and on-site finishing of linens and drape.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work as a team player and follow management’s direction/input.
  • Ability to work independently to complete work orders and uphold procedures.
  • Capacity to troubleshoot, multi-task, and use logical thinking to problem-solve.
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and means of transportation.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to carry 20-50 pounds throughout a work shift and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge and ability to use general hand tools, small equipment including irons and steamers, ladders, carts, linen racks, etc.
  • Must be comfortable working on a ladder up to 15’. Willingness to work on and operate a hydraulic lift for select projects is preferred.
  • Availability to work week and early weekend days with some late-night weekend evenings as needed. Most event needs are in Rockford, Illinois and the surrounding area, occasionally requiring installations and pick-ups as far as Chicago, Illinois.
